12 Moons Coffeehouse to Feature David Reed
12 Moons Coffeehouse will present David Reed as the featured performer in September. Americana Groove Music from the Caribbean to the Delta! - Max Creek founding member, finger-style guitarist and cigar box guitar maker David Reed has been bringing a smile to the face and a beat to the feet of audiences young and old for decades. “Reed seamlessly transitions from reggae to blues to calypso to rock in his playing, bringing us along on a wonderful, quixotic musical journey.” - Jaime Elliot - St. John Tradewinds, USVI
12 Moons is a community-organized, grass-roots, not-for-profit, all volunteer event begun in 2012. It brings people together to enjoy live, local music, poetry, and storytelling. 12 Moons gathers once a month on the first Saturday from 6:00 – 9:00. The format for the evening is open mic followed by a featured performer(s) at 8:00. The setting is intimate and casual with light refreshments or BYOB. Patrons are seated at candle-lit tables, conducive to bringing in dinner to enjoy while listening to live music. The coffee house depends entirely on donations at the door. Sign-up for open mic starts at 6:00pm.
