Becoming Basquiat Art Workshop

Kids of all ages are invited to create art inspired by the great artist Jean-Michel Basquiat at our Becoming Basquiat Art Workshop! Our program will start with a short story about Jean-Michel Basquiat and his art, which often features unusual portraits. Participants will then have the chance to create their own Basquiat-inspired art. All supplies will be supplied by the library. Registration for this program is encouraged.

Jean-Michel Basquiat was a U.S. painter. He first became known for his graffiti (writing or drawing made on a public surface), but later he was known for his paintings. His paintings often feature unusual portraits with scrawled text and symbols.
