Litchfield Performing Arts Presents Zaccai Curtis Trio at Milton Music Series on June 8

On Sunday, June 8 at 4 PM, Litchfield Jazz continues its 2025 season in partnership with Milton Music by presenting the Zaccai Curtis Trio at the Milton Congregational Church. The concert will feature music from the GRAMMY Award-winning album CuBop Lives!, recipient of the 2025 GRAMMY for Best Latin Jazz Album. The trio includes pianist Zaccai Curtis, bassist Luques Curtis, and drummer Anton Kot.
All three musicians have deep roots in the Litchfield Jazz Camp, where they began as young students and now return annually as distinguished faculty. Zaccai Curtis, a lauded pianist, composer, producer, and educator, co-founded TRRcollective, a musician-run record label, with his brother. He has toured internationally, serves on faculty at the University of Hartford’s Jackie McLean Jazz Institute and Western Connecticut State University, and is the recipient of multiple fellowships and national jazz honors.
Luques Curtis is one of today’s most sought-after bassists, having performed with luminaries such as Eddie Palmieri, Stefon Harris, Christian Scott, and Sean Jones. He is also a GRAMMY winner and producer of multiple acclaimed recordings, including work with the Curtis Brothers and Brian Lynch.
Anton Kot, 23, is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and Juilliard master’s candidate. He recently received the BMI Future Jazz Masters Award, including a $5,000 prize and a commission for a new work. At 18, Kot premiered his piano concerto with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, and has since appeared at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and jazz festivals across the globe.
