There will be a short Hotel membership meeting followed by our guest speaker, Deborah Rose.

We will also be awarding our "People's Choice" award to one of the 11 Hotel-themed artwork items which have been on display at the Hotel.

PROGRAM

The Merwinsville Hotel is excited to welcome Deborah Rose, a lifelong writer, photographer, New Milford Poet Laureate, and award-winning journalist with over 30 years' experience in community journalism. 

Rose will discuss the landscape of community journalism and highlight the methods and resources available to help businesses, civic organizations, and individuals spread the word about their events and causes. 

She will also speak about her involvement in the arts community along with her work with several nonprofits - the Ostomy Foundation, Kent News, Inc., as publisher of The Kent Good Times Dispatch, the Foundation 4 Orphans, and the Sherman Chamber Ensemble.
