Opening Reception: Five Points Gallery

Five Points Gallery presents three new exhibitions. In the Torrington Savings Bank Gallery, NY artist, Patricia Miranda has created a textile-based installation, grounded in historic material practices, women’s labor, and the violence of environmental and gendered commodification.
The Torrington Downtown Partners Gallery features mixed media scrolls by Susan Hoffman Fishman that document global geological disasters that emphasize vital natural resources.
Figuring it Out, a group exhibition in the West Gallery features five artists,
Shona Curtis, Sonja Czekalski, Gail Gelburd, Susan Keiser, and Jean Scott, each of whom explore physical, mental, and spiritual components of humanity.
