Qigong for Spring

Qigong for Spring In-Person
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, springtime is associated with the wood element, which represents resilience, kindness, and the ability to put our creative visions into action. Think of a tree leafing out (creativity), and bending flexibly in the March wind. In the poetic matrix of Qigong, just as new plants sprout from the earth and reach upward toward the sun after a winter of dormancy, the season of spring elevates our spirits, too. This workshop will teach you some of the best exercises to bring resilience and suppleness to both your body and your spirits, including the famous “Swimming Dragon” exercise, reputed to be the most effective exercise of all for promoting youthful longevity.
Note: weather permitting, we will practice outside, so please dress appropriately.
