ZOOM Lenten Series: Taizé Prayer and Guided Meditation

Presented by Br. Mark D’Alessio
Three Thursdays: March 6, 13, 20 • 6:30PM to 8:00PM • via Zoom
You Are Invited: A Lenten Journey of Taizé Prayer & Guided Meditation
At the start of Lent, we invite you to join us for a three-part on-line series of Taizé Prayer Services and Guided Meditation, a time to slow down, reflect, and deepen our connection with the Mystery of God.
This year, our Lenten series will focus on the three classic spiritual disciplines of Lent: Fasting, Prayer, and Giving/Hospitality. Jesus speaks of these in his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:1-18), calling us to a life of simplicity, devotion, and generosity.
Each evening will include the gentle, meditative music of Taizé chants, scripture readings, silence, and guided reflections on these sacred practices:
Week 1 – Fasting (…Not by Bread Alone)
We will reflect on fasting as a spiritual practice—not only from food but from distractions, habits, or attitudes that keep us from fully experiencing God’s presence.
Week 2 – Prayer (Dwelling in God’s Presence)
A night to explore prayer as an intimate conversation with God, deepening our awareness and trust in divine love.
Week 3 – Giving & Hospitality (Opening Our Hands & Hearts)
Lent calls us to generosity—of time, resources, and spirit. We will reflect on what it means to welcome others as Christ has welcomed us.
Facilitated by one of Wisdom House’s most popular retreat leaders, join Br. Mark for one evening or journey with us for all three. Whether you’re seeking a quiet moment of reflection, a deepened Lenten practice, or both, these on-line services will offer you a space of peace, prayer, and renewal in preparation for the joy of Easter.
